AkibaH is a Techstars company that empowers people with diabetes to live their lives untethered from bulky glucose meters, testing supplies, and logbooks by incorporating everything they need to track and measure their blood sugar into the world’s first all-in-one smartphone case glucometer. AkibaH's technology simplifies the lives of the more than half of all American adults projected to become diabetic or pre-diabetic in the next 6 years by making the process of checking their blood sugar as easy and discreet as checking their email. AkibaH enables users to share their contextualized blood sugar readings (i.e., paired with data like diet, activity levels, and medications) with their care teams in real time through a dashboard where they will be alerted when their blood sugar readings are either too high or too low. The users' care teams can also send targeted advice straight to their phones when most needed.
