TapLink keeps your users' passwords safe. We make it impossible to recover passwords from a stolen database, regardless of how weak the passwords are. This is a huge relief for any site with local user authentication (e.g. AngelList) which needs a strong level of security for their users' passwords. Industry best practice only protects the password if it's strong enough; weak passwords can be easily cracked, and far too many passwords are weak. TapLink changes the equation by protecting weak and strong passwords alike. Technically, we are applying a new technique we are calling Blind Hashing using a massive data pool, discussed below, and soon to be published on our site. The most interesting thing about Blind Hashing is that it allows defenders to easily pool their resources and share in the security benefits, and it protects the privacy and autonomy of the site/service. It doesn't get in the way, and it's invisible to the end-user.
